Kirkland Lake.

This is what the average house looks like in the town I currently live in. Every home looks like it’s falling apart and quickly patched up to make liveable… people have garbage bags as curtains. My own apartment building is better managed despite the odd funky odours that I have now gotten used to after being here for 5 months. After my journey here I definitely don’t see myself ever living in a small mining town ever again. I would also never recommend anyone to take an opportunity here. For goodness sakes, I see fallen pieces of my neighbours roof in my parking area.

I have my sights set on getting a job back near Toronto and returning to the city life. I have been living the rural country life for 4 years now and I think it’s time to lock in the city as my target so I can return to buy a home and settle down. I have been doing a number of interviews lately and I’ve been nailing all of them but the problem is that none of them were permanent positions.

Broken and boarded up windows are a common sight here.
